I like to abbreviate as much as possible. BTW, why is the word abbreviate so long? Who wants to read a long recipe? Not me.

A Few Equivalents for measuring:
2 pints = 1 quart
4 quarts = 1 gallon
2 cups = 1 pint
2 cups = 1 pint
4 cups = 1 quart
3 tsp = 1 Tbs
4 Tbs = 1/4 cup
4 Tbs = 1/4 cup
